This website (mai-alchemy.com) and the services offered through it are operated by Medrado Analytical Innovations, LLC, doing business as MAI-Alchemy ("MAI-Alchemy," "we," "us"). By using this site, requesting a quote, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
What we do
MAI-Alchemy provides expert analytical-chemistry services and related products, which may include: technical editing and scientific-accuracy review, analytical method development and consulting, software tools, and written articles. Some material on this site describes early, exploratory, patent-pending work and is provided for information only.
How engagements work
- Every project is performed against a written, agreed scope and a shared definition of what "finished" means, established before work begins.
- We charge by the project. Payment is due on completion and delivery of the agreed deliverable. For articles and other products, payment is due when you choose to purchase.
- Invoices are issued and paid through our payment processor (currently Stripe). We never see or store your full card details.
- Changes to an agreed scope are handled as a new or amended engagement, agreed in writing.
Payment & refunds
Fees are as stated on your quote or invoice and are due as agreed. Because our work is bespoke professional service and knowledge — delivered against a scope you approve in advance — all sales are final and no refunds are given. Your protection is the agreed definition of "finished," not a refund window. See our Refund Policy for details, and contact us with any billing question before disputing a charge.
Intellectual property
You receive the specific deliverable agreed in your engagement. MAI-Alchemy retains ownership of its own methods, software, libraries, and pre-existing or independently developed intellectual property, including anything marked patent pending. Any transfer or license of rights in a deliverable is only as stated in your written engagement agreement.
Your material is confidential
Documents, data, and drafts you share with us for an engagement are treated as confidential and used only to perform that engagement. We do not disclose them or use them for other clients. See our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Exploratory and patent-pending technology described on this site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAI-Alchemy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
